June 30, 2026 – Victory Dinner

The Rude Dog coaches, lifters and families gathered at Golden Retriever Corral in Sheltie-dan for our Victory Dinner!

We were joined by current and former Rude Dogs lifters with RJ, Zach and T joining us for the festivities.

Tom gave his end of year speech, thanking our coaches for their efforts training the team and our lifters for putting that training to use. He also thanked the team moms and our pup-arazzo for the work that they do during the season and during the off-season.

He reminded everyone that Rude Dogs is a family and, if you have ever been a part of the Rude Dogs team, you will always be a part of that family and are welcome to join us at practices.

Tom also stated this was the 24th season for Rude Dogs Powerlifting, meaning that as we head into 2027, that will be our 25th season as a team.

While the final results for our Regional meet and the State Games are posted elsewhere on the site, one statistic isn’t: Our lifters set 29 personal records this season – 24 at various practices, 4 at our Regional meet and 1 at State. In the “kind of interesting but why do I need to know this” category – if you total all of the current lifters’ PRs, they total 3,680 lbs.

Not a lot of photos were taken since the time was spent eating and socializing.

We want to thank our lifters for the effort they put in during our practices and meets. They are who we do this for.

We want to say thank you to our coaches for the wisdom and training they bring to the team. With their help, our lifters improve year over year.

We want to thank our administrative staff – the team moms and our pup-arazzo – for the time they put in to help keep the paperwork straight.

And, last but not least, we want to thank the families for their support. It means a lot to your lifter, and to the other members of the team, to have you rooting for us throughout the season.

We hope to see everyone back for the 175th season (well, in dog years) of Rude Dogs!

WOOF!
