On Sunday, March 1st, Special Olympics CO held their first Polar Plunge of 2026 at Wash Park. Participating in the event was our very own head coach – The Dogfather! Below is a video of his plunge. As you can hear in the video, the Society of Petroleum Engineers – represented by The Dogfather, Ben, Eric, Kasen and Davis – raised $1,700 for Special Olympics CO this year. They were the last group of the event and, by the time they plunged, the temperature was in the high 50s or so but the water was still on the cold side!
